At just three years old, Levi from West Rutland, Vermont, has already faced more medical challenges than most. Born with a rare condition where his esophagus wasn’t attached, Levi’s early days were marked by surgeries and uncertainty. Yet, through it all, Levi has shown incredible resilience and strength.

Today, Levi continues to travel regularly to Boston Children’s Hospital for critical follow-up care. These trips are essential for his recovery but would be nearly impossible without the support of Angel Flight NE. Since first connecting with us, Levi and his family have benefited from nine flights, coordinated with the help of our compassionate volunteer pilots, such as Jim L., and our generous corporate partners, including Cape Air.

Levi’s connection to Angel Flight NE runs even deeper. In 2021, we had the privilege of assisting his father with 16 flights for burn care treatment at Shriner’s Hospital in Boston. When Levi’s need arose, his father knew exactly where to turn for help. “We’re forever grateful to Angel Flight NE for being there in our time of need,” Levi’s father shared.

Every flight we provide is a lifeline for families like Levi’s. Thanks to the generosity of our volunteer pilots, airline partners, and donors, families can focus on their child’s health without the added burden of travel logistics and expenses. Levi’s story is a powerful reminder of how critical Angel Flight NE’s mission is in bridging the gap to life-saving medical care.
