Thankful Thursday ~ Emma’s Journey: Flights of Healing and Hope
Meet Emma, a resilient young woman from Fort Fairfield, Maine, whose strength and determination inspire us every day. Emma lives with a rare jaw disorder that requires expert care from specialists at Boston Children’s Hospital. For her, the journey to health isn’t just medical—it’s also a logistical challenge, as her appointments are hundreds of miles away from home.
Emma’s condition demands frequent visits to Boston, a task that could overwhelm any family with the strain of organizing and affording constant travel. That’s where Angel Flight NE steps in. Since first reaching out to us, Emma has taken 12 flights with our incredible volunteer pilots as well as JetBlue out of Presque Isle, allowing her to receive the critical care she needs without the added stress of navigating long-distance travel.
Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our volunteer pilots, Emma’s journey to Boston is safe, comfortable, and free of charge. This remarkable support network, powered by compassionate individuals and generous donors, ensures that Emma and patients like her can focus on healing rather than hurdles.
Emma’s story highlights the heart of Angel Flight NE’s mission: bridging the gap to life-saving medical care for those in need. It’s a reminder that distance should never be a barrier to health and hope, and with the help of our supporters, it never has to be.
Their gratitude extends to everyone who makes Angel Flight NE’s mission possible—from our volunteer pilots to our generous donors and partners.
Help Us Continue Our Mission
