Thankful Thursday ~ Elizabeth’s Journey to Advanced Cancer Care

Meet Elizabeth, an incredibly strong woman from Edgartown, MA, who is currently battling breast cancer that has unfortunately metastasized to her lungs. Since 2016, Elizabeth’s challenging journey has led her to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where she has been receiving life-saving treatment.

Facing a diagnosis like hers is no easy feat, but Elizabeth approaches each day with unwavering strength and determination. Despite the physical and emotional toll of her condition, she remains resolute in her fight for survival and healing.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners at Cape Air and our volunteer pilots Tom L. and Kurt F., Elizabeth can access the vital medical care she needs at Dana-Farber. Through their donation of free flights of hope and healing, Cape Air and our volunteer pilots have provided Elizabeth with a lifeline to her treatments, easing the burden of travel during this challenging time. With the help of our Earth Angels/Ground Crew members, like Michelle, she can travel safely to and from the airport and medical facility.

Elizabeth’s story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of support and compassion in the face of adversity. As she navigates her journey with cancer and its complications, we stand alongside her, offering our unwavering support and encouragement.

Join us in supporting Elizabeth and others like her on their journey to healing. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing medical challenges, offering them hope and healing when they need it most.
